the measure from drum brake to drum brake, somthing like this

It should be 54.25".

I know the B310 axle is 53.25 and the S110 axle is 55.25, and from my experience the A10 axle is right in between the two.

It's your car, just don't ruin it.

It's also not my money, so i'll suggest the most expensive option.

Thanks!  I finally could talked to my mechanic, you were close but it´s 55.5", at least for  the wagon. So great news I´m going to have an EVO IV rear end aaaaand you were right about selling the wheels at least the ones on the rear must go :crying:  :crying: , I have to find some +55 or something like that cuz I have like an extra 0.8" on each side of the rear end. Btw here is the final fitment on the front ( I dont remember if post it ) 20616006_1390909124296410_59329609365842It could be rolled but it is not as bad as I thought though I can always rise the coils and pretend to be a truck lol

I sent you a pm, forgot to measure today. Set alarm to check tomorrow. Curious now if hatchback will be different. ( Doubt it). Looks fairly close from above on fitment. I'll be in need of slightly larger than stock wheels later. Mine are 100% stock, (13") with great hubcaps now, but those gotta go.

That lines up with the 55.25" measurement I took of the S110 axle.

I just saw it, no worries. they should be the same, what are you planning to put there ?  I originally wanted to fit 14s" but they weren´t gonna clear the brakes

Well as of right now ( of course always subject to change) I "built" an L 20B ( the stock motor but all brand new, ported, polished, etc). It's installed in there now, subject to change so don't need different rear, but would like brake upgrades. Still concentrating on bracing body, finishing mechanics ( rebuilding 5 speed and rear now). Time will tell. Want to keep it " mild custom" as the theme, it's SOOO different when ots stripped nobody has ANY idea what it is.

niiice ! I was in the same boat for a while but the motor kept leaking,at the beginning it was overheating, I managed to solve that but never the leaks  :geek: so I decided to go crazy and do the swap.  btw I`m back to square one with the rear. The evo`s rear was the one fitted with AYC so the diff won`t work properly

Does the firewall seem sturdy enough being only sheet metal. If you're not sure, only time and a few hard turns will tell! Looking forward to the new school year, actually have an auto body shop class this year,( I teach) so hopefully we can get the body work finished.

well in theory the plate should be thick enough to handle the forces that come from the bars  but know that you talk about the firewall ... I`m gonna take a look to see how thick it is

Just reading the comment on the brace and the firewall.... Is it possible to put a plate behind inside the firewall?
Would that help strengthen the panel your attached to?
I could be way off base, just a thought that popped into my head....

Good thought it occured to me also. Not really sure geometrically how much stress that part undergoes, so ???

it shoudln´t be that much plus I´m reinforcing some points underneath but I guess that we will see. Look how it sits !20933819_1400541646666491_64140246442989

indeed !  well next week I will make a decision over the rear track swap  for the moment I´m trying to choose an air filter for the engine but I think I´m gonna buy this is one : volant.com/filters/powercore.aspx  my biggest concern is filtration and yup I know OME is the way to go but there is not enough space
