datsunfreak
That's good to know information. Nothing around Texas for sure though, all been crushed I'm afraid, what few were here to begin with. Thanks for the swap info though There's an S110 in Apache Foreign in Kennedale? Last I saw it a few weeks ago it was 100% complete. It's a Z20 with the H165. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Ooo...I kind of would really like to have a Z20 short block. Quote Link to comment
mhub91
You need to get that Z20 EFI setup. Extremely valuable to some. Quote Link to comment
A10_Johnny
As far as mounting it in the car, yes. It literally bolts right in. As mentioned, e-brake cables are different and you'd want to grab as much as you can from the donor car, including all cables and the e-brake handle assembly. A10, B310 and S110 all have the same attachment points for all of the suspension. So you can swap stuff around from car to car fairly easily. Thanks I've been looking for one and found one today Quote Link to comment

Dmb3sge
Too bad we can't go back to good old oil bath filters from the 40-50s. They worked awesome and many agriculture kept using them later, but EPA boo hood them, oh well. Plenty of great products out there. Like I tell students, more air in ( AND FUEL!) more power out...engines are just air/fuel machines. Good stuff. Can't wait for the new school year so hopefully we can get going on Dancer ( my project car) yup it would be great to see some pics of how it goes ! hey guys does anybody know how can I get access to this hole " " ? so I can prepare it for paint btw here are the strut bar pics, the plate is definitely thick enough ! the whole things is gonna help with rigidity, though it´s not as light as I wish like lol Quote Link to comment
chevtruknut
I couldn't find access, so I soda blasted in there, hoping it don't bite me in the ass when I go to paint....it didn't when I primed so hopefully it will be OK. I don't know that you can access it but I could be wrong Quote Link to comment
chevtruknut
Now that I think, it was awhile ago. I think the panel under the wipers can be removed but of course fenders gotta come off, etc Quote Link to comment

The firewall, not so much. Can you get another thick plate and sandwich the firewall? Quote Link to comment
Dmb3sge
That plate may be thick enough. The firewall, not so much. Can you get another thick plate and sandwich the firewall? yup I could do that if I manage to gain access there( gonna check that this weekend), though if my current plate is thick enough the strut bar shouldn´t transfer the energy " " to the firewall, right ? I mean I could even not attach it to firewall, in theory :geek: what do you think about this bucket seat ?? well even if you hate it, it was cheap as fuck ( 140$) so I bought it   btw I reinforced the strut towers just in case Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
yup I could do that if I manage to gain access there( gonna check that this weekend) The panel right above that comes off? Take off the wiper arms, then remove about 5 screws and you'll have the access you need. Quote Link to comment

fritzdixxon
been away for a year or so, here is the current state of my 2dr. Just completed a scavenger hunt style rally against a field of overpriced sports cars. On day 2 we were able to cut cross country on back roads and shave close to 90km from the route. Ended up 2nd overall on day 2 and tied for 6th on the whole rally. 2 Quote Link to comment
mhub91
Seeing this thread makes me miss my A10. I think the only way I'd.get another is a.2 door coupe (fast back). Quote Link to comment
chevtruknut
Fritz, that's cool. REMEMBER EVERYONE still looking for drivers door for my 78 2door hatchback, and great news. chevtruknut
I have a unique request. Does anyone have a slave cylinder rod around? If you don't have a spare to sell, do you by chance either know where to get one or the exact length so I can machine one. Thanks ( 5 speed 78 2door hatchback for reference). Thanks folks. Brad Are you talking about the adjustable one or the solid one? Also, if you upgrade to the later model slave (that uses the solid rod), it usually comes with the rod. Quote Link to comment
chevtruknut
Mine was solid, and the new slave cylinder didn't come with one, and I'll be danged if I can find the original. I know I have it, but I probably have 20 boxes of stuff for the car. Starting reassembly finally... Quote Link to comment
