Where did you get that one? I ordered one some time back and it wasn't quite the same length I think. It didn't block the tensioner for shit! Ended up having to basically start over from scratch. Sucked. Ended up throwing it away as it was of no use to me.

Waiting on the new water pump, I picked up a NOS Nissan pump cus I hate the aftermarket crap that's out there and I only wanna do this once to this truck

Then i gotta clean the block surface and clean out the head bolt holes and it can start to go back together

CLOSED CHAPMER HEAD i SEE

I like those timming chain tools. I bought about 10 of them gave most away. 5$ a pc

I like it you could feel as it pushed the tensioner back in on the bottom.

when you put the sprock back on you can rotate the cam slightly so it induces a little slop to one side to get it on the dowel. usually turn cam to the right

SERIOUSLY!!! i have no idea why every datsun owner thats done a head gasket doesnt have one!!!! Even nismo dr who's a nissan master tech said that it was better/more efficent than the nissan tool!!!! i love it now that ive used it

with that said the new water pump and gasket came in

FYI on future Gasket kits. Baxters sells the kit (its actually upper and lower seperate) for a total of 53$ for Fel-Pro. They tend to sell gaskets are really cheap prices I find.

when i called and out it on the northwest Z account it was $70+

What head did you have and what is the new one, any difference?

the old one was a shaved u67 round port, and the new one is a square port a87 peanut head
