Recommended Posts

STAKES RAISED! TOP DOLLA PAID!

Hey fellers, I am sure most of you already collect these, but if anyone has any OC plate frames that they will let go of, please PM me and i will take them off your hands. I am looking for any local cities in OC that I grew up in. Below is a list of Datsun dealerships that existed in OC at some point or another. Ha, I googled the addresses and alot of these dealerships still stand today! Of course now they are all crappy independent dealers and such. I have a long list of friends that are looking for these frames.

Frames should be in decent condition please, I don't mind pitting or dirty, as long as they arent falling apart. Below are some prices I would be willing to pay for certain cities, if they look good enough. Prices I'll pay vary based on condition of course. OC cities preferred, but lemme know what you got!

1) Costa Mesa Datsun- GOT IT!
2) Garden Grove Datsun - $50
3) Norwalk Datsun -$50
4) Santa Ana Datsun- $50
5) Anaheim Datsun-$40
6) Fontana Datsun- $75-$100
7) Newport Datsun- $40

Other cities I like:

9) Long Beach Datsun- $50
10) Vallejo Datsun- $50
11) San Francisco Datsun- $25-$40
10) Riverside Econo Datsun-GOT IT!
11) Torrance Datsun-GOT IT!

Cool guys, I have an Irvine one and a Santa Ana one. Now that we all know what each other has, may I ask if you are selling any of these mentioned? There is already a thread about license plate frames, but i am looking to buy some.

Thanks again guys,

HI to all of my new Datsun friends. My Father was "The Z-God of the Great Northwest" , and a former racing engine builder for F.A.R. Performance in Mountain View, CA. I am very sad to report that he passed away 2 years ago, but I have many cool items that I will be posting on e-bay in the near future. (wish I could keep it all, but times are tough)

I do have a "Carmen Koosa's Datsun of Downey" vintage aluminum license plate frame listed now, so if you are interested check it out. B)

I sold a couple frames to RuckyCharms at Eagle Rock.

He offered me lots of histroy & value info and pics how to identify plates from reproductions before the meet.

In the end he gave me a cash offer and trade options.

He was so easy to deal with I had a hard time deciding what offer to accept!

If I find more frames I don't want I'll be looking for Rucky again.

From my love of fishing that would be a really good guess!

He is Sam Peckinpah. A famous film director and screen writer who directed the movied The Wild Bunch.

The reason for that avatar...

I pulling unique parts in the junkyards and then forgetting what specific vehicles they came off of.

My wife heard me grumbling and suggested before removing any parts I should first use my phone snap a quick pic of the vehicle, VIN #, & part before removing anything. That way I would always have a record.

I wanted to create a mantra so I would remember to do this while excitedly entering the junkyards. I came up with ...Pic then Paw, or Pic and Paw.

Then I remembered the name Sam Peckinpah. It was a famous name, but I didn't recall who he was.

I was very tired and went to google it. I was actually thinking it might be the name of a Warner Brothers cartoon character, but that turned out to be Yosemite Sam! lmao

When I found out who Sam Peckinpah actually is ...it is a perfect avatar as he is a famous cinemetographer! Pic first, then Paw the car! lol

(The down side...nobody but an old person or a film buff will ever know who he is (deceased.) Note to self...find out how to create notes on my avatar or add wall paper!)
