520datsun Posted August 29, 2012 Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Couldnt find my original post so I'll start a new one Here is my 1966 Datsun 520 single headlight I have pacesetter headers and straight sidepipe, mgb race car intake manifold and webber carb, just did electronic ignition (found the whole kit on the eBay)...found some new old stock from Japan 1971 fender mirrors, just ordered a sweet 1966 truck license plate so so sweet! Things I still need to do/goals: put hood and tailgate on Re-register/drive it Coilovers swap Brakes of some sort even though I love that it only goes 25mph still need to stop. DanielC Posted January 13, 2013 Report Share Posted January 13, 2013 I had a "registered as 1967" 520, that had single headlamps. It had only two headlights. Here is a site that has some pictures taken from old Datsun part catalogs. http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun520/Datsun520521Index/Body/BodyOutsideView/tabid/1492/Default.aspx it shows grill changes on several dates. Datsun did mid year changes on several of its models. Generally, I would expect a 1966 520 to have single headlights, some 1967 to have single, and then switch to dual headlights. I believe 1968 introduced the J-13 521, and midway through 1968, the 521 got the L-16 engine. 1 Quote Link to comment

520datsun Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2013 They were nos, brand new in a box from 1971 from Japan...it was an aftermarket products so it looks super good...they are plastic but have a lot of adjustment and hold up great.
