copydat
Finally got around to putting some new shoes on my turbine hoops. My buddy picked them up for me in his Landy - I think this is a good first pass at stretch. After these are fried I'll probably go even more extreme stretch. Something like 205x40R15 something silly like that. Soz for no pics of it on the Dat - Dat is in the shop for a while at the moment. Heart transplant.... 4 Quote Link to comment

JoeCool
Good things come to those who wait I guess. Man, those wheels look great on your truck! Has a "period" look to it as well, like something somebody would have put on it in the late 70's. Quote Link to comment
copydat
Best thing anyone has ever said! That's the look I'm going for. Vintage Race Rice :) 2 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
Looking good. I have a set of 15x10 turbines for my 720. Mine are coated white as well, but then the faces of the spokes are painted black. The white is super hashed though, so eventually they will get stripped and redone. My truck is silver and black so I don't think the white would work very well on mine. Looks awesome against that green. I will take a pic of them when I get home. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Mine are actually American racing cyclones I guess, but same rim basically. Here's a couple pics as promised. 2 Quote Link to comment
copydat
^ I paid 350 USD for my Turbines + shipping + sandblasting + paint + rubber hoops.... Still, worth it : ) Everyone who sees them here (in Australia) say they look like Daytona Nascar race wheels. Like sprint car race spec or something.I like this pic I took today. Thing has stance - love it! 2 Quote Link to comment
socaldatsun
with the flares did you have to cut the fenders? how do you figure how high or low to line them up? Quote Link to comment
edutechnic
Offset looks nuts, but they turned out amazing. Finish goes so well with the paint! Quote Link to comment
copydat
@solcaldatsun - Yep, front has been cut for turn clearance and the rear hasn't been done yet. Quote Link to comment
