BigInJapan
Howdy, This car is officially for sale... I'll try to get an official post over in the 'for sale' section by this weekend. Essentially, the car looks exactly the same, but now has Recaros and one of those fancy jdm center consoles with the clock in it (found it on ebay in Thailand). There is no carpet, accept over the tunnel. Reason for sale: I have too many cars and I'd like to thin the herd a little bit. Also, car is filthy at the moment, and needs a good bath and cleanup (which I plan to do). I have no idea what to ask for the car. Best thing to do is to text with questions and/or offers. Morrisun
Talked to the owner of the car today, he lives in Wilsonville Oregon. He is planning on bring the 1200 coupe to the Datsun Northwest Canby event this June. Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Not for sale? Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
No, not for sale. IF it was for sale, you are looking at $5,000 and then some... Quote Link to comment

graveltrapp
I think it got sold back then. I was in Hawaii when it went on the market. And by the time I was back in town I thought he had sold it. Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
At Canby He remove the 15" wheels and tires because "they rubbed on every corner of the car!" Running 13X7 Libre's I followed him from Wilsonville to Canby, and the car smokes a little, which for it's age and sitting for sometime is not bad. Good to see it out and about! 2 Quote Link to comment
lcgarcia98
I WANT that center carpet... !!!! Really Nice car. Nice bones for a restmod. Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
Okay folks, I received a phone call today, from the current owner, car is same as pictured above, wheels/tires sound like they have changed again- to what I don't know for sure. He offered it to me, and I am strongly thinking about buying it and turn around and sell it. It's a very original coupe, with Klotz brake kit on the front, flares to fit lager wheels and tires. What do y'all think?? I have very good rubber factory floor mats, to replace missing ones! He knows I am flipping the car- he does want to deal with selling the car. 1 Quote Link to comment

KELMO
What you really need to consider is the fact that most US 1200 owners are on this site, and have at lest one if not two(we are not counting you, it would not be fair) and can't afford a second or third. Well, there is Duncan, Tanker, and Jrock. Quote Link to comment

powerbench
Hey Doug , the car is super cool......has a good story , but I know for me ( just speaking for myself) the fender flares are a deal killer....I kinda wish it would have just been left alone ..Super nice factory sheet metal should have been left alone 2 Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
Yes, Rick I feel the same way, as it was such an original survivor. But a 1200 with no rust to repair, will save someone a few dollars in body work! Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Flares are the first thing I would have done too... 2 Quote Link to comment
powerbench
Don't get me wrong , it's a cool car . Just once you've flared it that's it . I just really like a stock body. When I found the damage on my car I thought about flaring it , but couldn't bring myself to cut 2 new NOS fenders and a fairly clean drivers quarter for some damage on the passenger side. Your right, finding one in rust free shape will put somebody miles ahead,( ask me how i know). If you can get the car for a decent price , Im sure there is money to be made ( we've all seen the prices rising on these little beasts lately) Quote Link to comment
Duncan
Same here. If someone likes flares, I totally respect it. I would pass on buying it because of them.
