would the vg30 mount work on the sr cuz it seems like thats the only one he has as of right now.

The mounting ears are in a slightly different place on the VG30 unit vs the universal 5spd unit.

You can use it but it won't be a direct bolt-in.

here they are for comparisson. Universal 5spd crossmember on top, VG30 crossmember on bottom.

If you are really in a hurry, you can use the VG30 mount and drill new holes in the ears to match your floor.

You will aso need a chevy tranny mount for thishttp://www.ebay.com/...r#ht_4096wt_952

The correct tranny isolator to use with the Experimental Engineering crossmember is for the early Z, Nissan p/n # 11320-N3000 - usually around $60. Or if you are like me and like to save a few bucks, the generic parts store equivalent is p/n 2741. You can get them over the counter for arround $25 or from www.rockauto.com for about $15.

got em!

I think that is the right side. It will still bolt on, it is slightly taller than the other side.

Also you are going to have to grind down those nipples next to the bolts and the dimple on the other side or it wont fit flush with the 510 cross member.
