wayno
You are successful, good job. Looks to be a 64 grill, but your profile says you have a 65, is this another 320? 1 Quote Link to comment

Tmack
My brother and I kinda thought it was a early 65 or late 64. Title says 65 the tag says its a 65, but the vin says 64. So I guess it would be considered a 1965. 1 Quote Link to comment

It could be a early 65 if that is what the title says, but it was a column shift at one time, so it would be an early 65, as late ones were floor shift 4 speeds with a differant instrument cluster cover/face. 1 Quote Link to comment
chzcake
The reason it has a 64 grill is because it was built in 64, but i has a 65 title and tag because it sold in 65. What are your plans for the truck? 1 Quote Link to comment
Tmack
Eventually this will be a full resto but not totally stock. Paint will be a Burgandy or maroon. Top is going to have Vinyl. It will be a flatbed with Quality wood with a nice finish. No chrome other then what is on it now. Keep people guessing what it is. Drive train is going to stay stock, brakes, supension, ect. Steering wheel will be changed out, this one is cracking anyway. It will be getting bucket seats. Wheels are staying they are 15 x 8 Bumpers are going to be 4" tube bumpers single tube custom. Black. Grille is going to be 1 1/4 tubes 4 bars custom. Black. It will be getting custom lights, turn, running, brake. Hope this can give you an idea of what it will look like. 1 Quote Link to comment

Tmack
Yes it hits the fan Should I go with the 2 blade fan I thinks it's thinner. 1 Quote Link to comment

If your stock fan will not work, do you have one, try to find a thinner one, if there are any spacers holding the fan forward, try to remove the spacer, or think about going with an electric fan. Do you have a 1200 engine lying around? Does it have the stock water pump/fan on it? 1 Quote Link to comment
Tmack
Well I still have the 320 project in the garage, I now have 4 of the 1965 320 Datsun trucks, 2 of them are parts trucks. I will not be using the beds, I am going to be restoring 2 trucks and I will not be using the beds, they will both be flatbeds. So, I have 3 beds for sale if anyone wants them. 1 is in very sad condition, 1 is in mediocre condition, and 1 is in descent condition. I remember someone hear had a contact for windshields and rubber. Help. 1 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
I used a Moto-Lita steering wheel on my 320 for years. The hub for it was found in a wrecking yard on a 521, but I'm pretty sure they were all the same all the way up through the 620. The Moto-Lita wheel is the standard British racing style of the 50's and early 60's and believe it or not, made the truck nicer to drive. I attribute that to the extra rigid construction. The bolt pattern on the Moto-Lita is the same as popular hot rod steering wheels like Billet Specialties or Nardi. I ditched the plastic horn button for a smooth chrome one I found at a swap meet. 1 Quote Link to comment
