chris67
Been awhile but I am still the proud owner of a 1965 320 and my daughter stil has her convertible 1967 520. I sold the 320 a couple of years ago and just got her back!!!! My daughter's run and drives and is currently in getting a paint job. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You should have kept the 320 and stayed on here. :) Quote Link to comment

chris67
Here is how she looked when I dragged her out of a field and I mean DRAGGED she had a canopy and his goats lived in it. Quote Link to comment
wayno
So what does it look like now,. It's been a while guy, you got the same one back, so what was done about the box? Running and driving is good, what engine is in it? We need lots of updates with photos. :) :D   Nice to have you back. wayno Quote Link to comment
chris67
Here is how she sits today I swapped out the chevy bed for a 1965 ford bed. Lots a cutting required but I think it looks pretty good way better than the other bed. I know many wont like it but its ok I just thought the stock bed didnt match the sexy lines the cab has and I cant find a nice NL  1 Quote Link to comment
Cahoon520
Very nice. Makes want to get a 320 Quote Link to comment

The other 320 with a L block in it didn't have room for the hoses to come out of the firewall, so no heater. I think it looks better than the other box, but you didn't put a lot of time into the other box before selling it. It has potential, a few tweaks here and there, I think the toughest part is to get the box at the right angle, I still think my box needs to go up an inch maybe in the rear, but right now I am living with it the way it is, it's close. I don't like the stock L320 box either, it looks like an afterthought. Quote Link to comment
RadioRedline
I don't like the stock L320 box either, it looks like an afterthought. It was. Where do you think the Japanese got the 320? Based off of a British Austin car like those Datsun 1000 cars. They just took the Datsun 1000 and made it into a truck! Radio Quote Link to comment
chris67
The 67 convertible pickup is for sale my daughter lost interested (got a new car) so I really just want her gone (the truck) hate seeing her sitting in my garage. Make me an offer I would like $1500 cash for her and a new toy for me..... Quote Link to comment
chris67
No interest in a convertible Datsun 520? I guess the price is too high? I know I wont get my money back but I also don't think its only a $1500 truck I see rusty parts trucks going for $1000  This is how I found her. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I think it looks cool. I dont like the color or sceme but 1500 isnt a bad price for a nice truck. You knew she would loose intrest in a old truck like this. All girls or women do. They just not in to Datsuns Believe me Quote Link to comment
chris67
She turned 19 got a brand new car and that's all she wrote....... I figured the old school 80's style color scheme wouldn't hurts its value to much. I have well over 5 grand into the truck so my asking price of $1500 cash plus a decent running driving trade seems fair. Oh well I guess It sits till It either it finds a new home or I finish it. (I would really prefer it goes to a new home) I guess I can tear back apart and bag it. banzai510(hainz)
I figured the old school 80's style color scheme all purple or all black would have been better. 1)that was one mistake 2) if you bought$$$$$$ her the new car then of coarse she will like it better If you had no money and she had no car she will be driving it. 1500 is a good deal. If Prince shows up with his Purple Rain album charge him 3K$ for it Quote Link to comment

chris67
Is the purple that bad????? I really want this truck to go to a good home ASAP Quote Link to comment
wayno
Hey Chris, I don't believe it's the price or the paint, it's just to close to the holidays, and we Datsun folks are cheap, we would rather fork out twice as much a little at a time, than fork out a big chunk at once, the truck looks nice, especially considering what it looked like when you bought it, as I seen it in that field myself. Just advertise it anywhere you can, eventually it will sell, if you want it gone fast, your going to take a big loss. Another thing to keep in mind is that it's a 520, they just are not as popular. chris67
Wayno Yep I know I wont get my money back but the best offer I have gotten is $1200 there are rust buckets up for sale for $1500+ I just hate seeing her just sit but I wont give her away. Its a rust free extremely straight with a brand new paint job (yes its purple) unmolested truck (other than the top which was well done in the 80's I spoke to the builder). I would be fine with a trade but so far those have been a joke as well. Not looking for a corvette :w00t: Oh well if anybody is interested hit me up its reposted on here and on craigslist in Bend Oregon. Quote Link to comment
gene knight
I still like the truck and wish it was a closer location cuz I would love to cruise around in that during the warmer(not extremely hot) weather here in Arizona and take it to some shows Quote Link to comment
