84 720 BOGWALKER build

Hello, My name is Matt and I am in Chattanooga TN. This is my 1984 Nissan 720 4x4 I picked up about 3 months ago. I have a pretty focused idea of what I want to do with this truck, but as it is my daily driver progress may be a bit slow. I wanted to start this build page to document progress and to contribute to the 720 body of knowledge as much as I can through trial and error and by the experience of my family (Dad and Brother are mechanics).

HAHAHA! I traded a 96 mitsubishi ecplise with a busted tranny for the truck and some $$. The buddha and wizard I had laying around and decided they could ride! I mounted the axe yesterday cause I plan on building this truck for exploration, camping, and i might be moving to a farm soon.

I have been all over your build thread poorman720, good stuff!

I plan on cutting the fenders up front about halfway up the bumper and shaving a bit off the bottom back near the cab (at least thats the current idea.)

THANKS for the info on the wheels!

I'm toying with the idea of putting my fold down king cab jump seats in the bed of my truck, just behind the wheel wells against the side of the bed. Has anybody seen this? What would be the best way to weather proof them? I was thinking about a few cans of flex seal, think that would work?

Nice truck, pull and clean the fuses and contacts, same with the grounds, that might fix them.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did that the day I got the truck! I think my dimmer switch is dead and thats why they dont work. Everything else has been replaced or cleaned. I might try to just bypass the dimmer control and straight wire it in at full brightness... which isnt very bright
