DHC340's, are they all the same?

I'm assuming the 340 off of an isuzu won't bolt up to a Datsun,right?

 

I was gonna go hit the JY tomorrow and see what I could find, Mostly I need a good rebuildable carb, my 340 off the dually and the daf328 off the 4x4 are both shot.:(

There is a difference, as I recall, between the Automatic and the Manual transmission carburetors. The Manual Trans carbs have a device that slows the throttle as the gas pedal is not depressed (i.e. during shifting between gears) It's been a while, and that is what I seem to remember when trying to help a buddy rebuild one in high school.

Compare the base plate. You might be able to take the base plate off of your Datsun Hitachi DCH-340 carb and interchange it with the new one you find, making it fit the Datsun.

yep, I did that today, and changed around a few bits here and there, to make a cheap working one(for now). I was going to use the entire isuzu carb, but it has too many vacuum lines to mess with.
