"Lola" the 620 (now with moar oics!)

picked this truck up a week ago for $1100... got 127k on the odometer, ran great, stoped great.... didnt look so great.

 

and that was my 92' urs4 in the background that made close to 600whp (on a good day) It has since been sold and parked on a hill.... eventually rolling down into a pond and sunk like the boat it was

Truck looks pretty good to me... What are your plans for it?

 

Welcome to the site and there's a few of us from the PNW. Whereabouts are you?

 

I'm in Portland, but I drive up to Seattle every couple weeks to work on my motorcycle project

i'd like to repaint the parts that need painting/body work, keeping it the original factory color... want to build the 620 version of this:

basically if datsun had made a 620 gtr..... keep it fairly period correct

So of course I had to mess with the front torsion bars yesterday, upgraded the bolts to the stronger grade 8 bolts and got them a few inches longer than stock

and I repainted the grill, still need to soak the nuts on the upper eyelid grill thingy, dont want to break it

Willz, that 620 looks awesome! Especially for that price.

 

Although I must admit, I was a bit disappointed when I opened this thread. Though there was some B120/B122 content in here :hmm:

And I don't think Portland is the PNW; It's like 3 hours from the Puget Sound. Oh well, I just thought you were a lot closer.

 

I thought the PNW was oregon, idaho and washington?

 

 

it take me about 2-2 and a half hours to drive to seattle, i like the drive so if theres any events up in seattle, i'd probly be able to make them

Oregon, Idaho, and Washington make up the Northwest. The area around the Puget sound is the Puget Northwest... There is an event at Golden Gardens this Saturday which is in north Seattle.

I'm guessing only the people close to Puget sound call it that....for most people, PNW is Pacific Northwest....which as mentioned is OR, ID, and WA

 

Ill accept the Pacific Northwest. Everyone wins... Though to stay on topic, Im hoping this build goes well. It would be interesting to see how youre going to adapt the GTR look to your truck.

been a while since ive updated,
spent st. patty's day in vegas with my family (mom's 50th birthday), blew a ton of money, had fun....so the truck has been taking the back burner as of the last week...

BUT

I have managed to start building new door panels and kick panels to accommodate my new 6.5" alpine speakers.
bought a nice all black kenwood deck to throw down in the center console din, plan on using the factory tape deck location for some gauges, volt, air/fuel, probably make it all out of aluminum, make it niiiceee.....

ordered a 10x10 of dynomat.... that stuff isnt as cheap as i remembered it being,

going to do the floor and firewall, pull the headliner and install there and behind the bench seat, which is currently getting measured for a re-wrap and new foam.... hopefully get it done in some perforated leather

some 2" lowering blocks magically made their way into the rear end...... but i think i might flip the rear leaf springs and get whatever i can get out of whats already there, which looks like another inch at the very minimum, pictures to come soooooon

bought a set of chevy 15x8 rally steelies,

getting the 225/50r15 kumho ecsta ast tires thrown on tomorrow,

anyone know if i'm going to have any clearence issues?

i believe the backspacing on the rally's are 4"
