ZackeryNM
When ever I shift up, the engine somewhat races. I have a manual choke installed and I do turn it off when the engine is running properly so its not the problem. Even though I have a sports car and shift fast in that, I shift like a dead grandpa when in my truck... should I start double clutching? (I know that is for down shifts) I can live with the problem but its an annoyance. Any tips would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
jefe de jefes
Is the nut on the throttle linkage too tight? Check for linkage binding or gummed up areas. Quote Link to comment
ZackeryNM
At the college right now but afterwords I'll check on that. Just trying to figure out in my brain what could possibly causing it. Idk the truck very well. somewhat related would be the parking brake. it sticks when I pull it out; It has to be twisted this way and that to get it to go back in. Quote Link to comment
co.dime
check your pedal and the make sure its not sticking, my 510 did that and i thought it was the linkage. Quote Link to comment
ZackeryNM
Pedal is fine, I didn't have the issue yesterday. What i did have was a transmission that wouldn't put into gear at a stop light. blocked traffic. i tried the whole gear range. nothing. It was on a flat and I couldn't get momentum to put it in. finally after pushing hard into first and I was on my way. why? Fluid maybe? Quote Link to comment
