Fuel filters? How many?

How many fuel filters are there on a 720? I was looking at O'reilly's website and it seems there are two types of filters available; inline and cartridge type. I know there is a cartridge type filter that goes into the bottom of the fuel pump but is there another somewhere else along the fuel line?

I believe the difference you may have seen was for the SD22. Uses a spin on oil filter.

 

 

 

I don't think the 720 would have two filters.

The Z24I uses two fuel filters.

 

Is your 720 injected or carbureted?

There is one just before the electric fuel pump and one in the pump on the gas 720. On top of the tank actually on the return line is a check valve to prevent fuel from leaking out if there is a roll over. This can be mistaken for a filter but it isn't.

i have 2 filters on mine, one before the pump, and one inside the pump. i have yet to source a replacement for the one inside the pump

Nissan # 16404-28530 about $6. Likely cheaper if you cross reference the number.

I have not found any supply except Nissan. All the parts store just show the other filter.

It appears auto parts warehouse stocks the cartridge type for the inside of the pump for $6.95.

auto parts warehouse is a Nissan parts dealer i think. It's the same price as Nissan.

Thanks need the one inside the tank. next time i go to/near a nessan dealer i will pick up the fuel filter inside the pump. Been to advance and o'rielly with no luck. So searching here.
