no keys!

hey everyone, my buddy borrowed my truck keys and lost them. is their any way to override the ignition with like a push button start or something along those lines. any suggestions would be much appreciated even if they are sketchy. i need to drive this truck and right now cant afford the quoted 150.00$ est cost of getting a new one. please help me out ,

Take both door cylinders out and take to a.hole in the wall lock smith.. I say both because the passenger has the code, but they can also test on the drivers make sure the cut is right.

 

 

I had keys made for mine for 15 bucks.

 

Or you could use a really shaved key, and it will unlock the ignition and allow you to turn it. Having a cut key just keeps them from getting pulled out of the ignition. Before I had my keys made I just used my key to unlock it, then I could pull it out and start with anything flat including a dime

call nissan with the VIN and ask if they can cut a key by code

 

Key code is (was) on the back side of the glove box door.

Ignition can be removed to enable steering and 'hot wire'

1 screw on ignition switch has to be drilled out though....if not....it has been replaced at one time
