msdm Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 so my 4x4 that i just got for $350 was a diesel then converted to petrol L20b but that is buggerd 2. i just scored an 84 r30 skyline with a 6cyl L24 with efi. does anyone know if it will fit or maybe have done a conversion like that and could give me some advice? cheers Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 There was another guy asking about the 6 Cyl L series swap the other day on here as well. As far as I have been able to tell, no one on here has done that swap. Very first place I would start is by measuring the overall length of the motor from where it bolts to the trans all the way to the end of the fan. then see if that would fit in the engine bay. If not, you will have to move your trans or do some serious other modification work. Start there and then decide if it's really worth the effort. Quote Link to comment
