lowering springs?????

I have a 74 260z I have 3 inch lowering springs for it. This might be a stupid question but can I use the stock lenghth struts or do I need to get shorter ones????

couple of different ways to look at this

 

Who make 3inch lowering springs. Most I ever seen was 1.5

 

anyway you talking strut cartridge?so youll use the middle travel of the cartridge or shortening the whole strut but cutting the middle of cutting a inch or so out then using a shorter strut cartridge to insert back in than using those 3inch shorter spring so overall youll have 4 inches shorter.

My budy said they were 3 inch lowering springs. He said it will make the car about 3 to 4 inches off the ground. I don't quite understand what you are saying about cutting and all that.

You should look into replacing the 260 strut housings with later ZX housings with bigger and better brakes and wheel bearings.

Just install the springs and see what happens.

But I wonder if the strut tube/shock inside will bottom out 1st.

 

maybe somebody knows the anwser on this but are the angle the same on the 260z to the 280zx???????
