Advice from an old airplane guy. Go in telling them you can make things happen. Then show them know that you can make things happen and solve problems. Ask the old guys to to teach you everything they know and learn what they are are saying to you. That's the only way you will be able to solve the problem!

Unfortunately, the only thing I really know about planes, is that I like them, well, old planes anyway. I sure would jump at the chance to learn though!

I went through Boise, Idaho several years ago driving to King Mountain near Moore, Idaho for a hanggliding competition that I actually won, there was an airport near the hiway in or near Boise, there were 3 or 4 WWII bombers making passes and touch downs while I was driving by, I'm not sure that any were B17s(flying fortress) as I did not stop, so I wasn't close enough to tell, at that time I thought at least one was a B29 Superfortress, but now I am unsure of that, as only a couple are in air worthy condition, I was actually surprised how small the one I seen was compared to the planes of today.

Yes.I belong to the Collings Foundation-here is our inventory:

i didn't know the Collings foundation was something you could belong to. I thought it was a dude (bob) that had a LOT of toys, that made a non-profit "foundation" to preserve said toys to get out of paying lots of taxes in different states. I don't blame him at all, just didn't know someone could become a member. I'm sure plenty of people work for the foundation.

His stow property abuts some of mine, and his desire to add a WWII tank museum to his current runway/hanger/building is really pissing people off. I personally don't really care, but the stop the tanks signs everywhere are pretty amusing

Oops, sorry folks! I didn't mean to fill the sightings thread with airplanes,& in my defense, I did post a pic of a Datsun 521 in my post. As for starting an airplane thread, I don't really have that many pics of planes, but if someone else is interested in a thread like that, I will be happy to share any pics I do have, or take in the future. Ok, so now I guess back to your regularly scheduled Datsun sightings.
