The ac vent parts srcew to the bottom off the dash in the stock dash mounting points, the back is supported by the fan wich is screwed to the firewall. Quote Link to comment

WE DON'T ALL HAVE FANCY KEYBOARDS YOU KNOW. oh by the way, installing A/C is really complicated. Easiest to buy a generic underdash unit. Many just fit under the passenger side of the dash, compact, easy to fit that part at least. This is the type Datsun dealers in Japan sold, but American dealers chose the complicated types like in the photos. Quote Link to comment
