shlammed Posted April 21, 2023 Report Share Posted April 21, 2023 the npt bungs to weld are usually a pain without distorting. you can probably sink it a bit deeper with a tap and have it seal up. I wouldnt use teflon on a pipe thread. just some lube to get it to seat without marring. Quote Link to comment

It's the AN bung that's leaking, but yea, I cooked the threads out of the first bung I welded for the intake air temp sensor. Lesson learned to at least put a plug in there, sometimes it's just a real bitch to get the heat to go where you want. Quote Link to comment
