While posting I missed that it was a Z 5 speed and had to go back and adjust.

32861-N7301 is only for the '82-'83 non turbo 280zx. This bushing is totally different and looks like this....

... and won't fit the 510 stock tranny. Well not the PL510 but if you have the HL510 with optional dogleg the 32855-H1010 and 32861-N44200 bushings will.

The side ones can be made from door hinge kits.

There are others that might work better...

These were too big to fit the shifter and the pin hole was too big, but...

I used a hack saw to remove some material and pinched together until it was a perfect fit. Had to lightly sand the sides down till it would slip in smoothly between the tranny ears. Very snug (not tight) fit no slop, will last forever.

Nismo dr hooked me up, gotta love Nissan parts smile.gif

Sorry for bumping the thread after so long, but I'm in the same boat with my 620 4 speed shifter.  I have a lot of rattle coming from the shifter, which disappears when I put pressure on it or lift up on the shift knob ever so lightly.  I'm sure that this points to the two shifter bushings on either side of the shifter arm.  Would I be better off trying to source the plastic bushings from Nissan or are the Help! packages a better option (if so, would I be better off going with the #38388 pack or #38410 that I've seen elsewhere here on Ratsun)?

Call a local dealer, you might be surprised what they have lying around....unless your in omaha, i bought the last couple sets at my local dealer a few yaers back:-)

The NISMO catologue listed solid metal replacemen shift bushings.  Take the time to talk to the counter person.  If he/she is an idiot ask for the Nismo parts catalog and be surprised at what is documented!
