CWhip
Sequim is out on the Olympic Peninsula. He's got it on CL for $999 http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/pts/2682620433.html Link to comment
king bee66
that price is humorous, maybe if it had su's... Link to comment
hobbes_the_cat
It used to have weber sidedrafts on it. I was looking at buying them, agreed on the price, then he sold them to someone else and didn't tell me. by the way this motor was in the general lee car that you may have seen if you live around here. ggzilla
Wow, that's a great engine. Even in Japan they don't build 'em that big -- 1890cc A-series! Link to comment
king bee66
good to see you posting again zilla ka-datsun did you ever have a dyno done while it was running? Link to comment
ka-datsun
yeah its a built little engine, and king bee no i did not. im guessing around 115 to 125. those engines dont put out much. the cool thing is that it revs up like a street bike cause of the lightweight flywheel. datzenmike
Needs pictures. Specially the transmission.... http://community.ratsun.net/topic/691-how-to-post-pictures-and-keep-online-photo-albums/ How was the size increased? I'm more familiar with the L/Z/KA motors for bore and stroking them. What's involved in making a larger A series. Link to comment
wayno
I have sent a couple emails about this engine, but got no responce.:( EDIT I guess I typed to soon, as I noticed I had an email just after I posted this responce. My phone battery went dead also, so I didn't know I had a message either, when it rains it pours. Link to comment
datzenmike
To get near 1900cc you would have to over bore from 83mm to 105mm  so I guess some stroking must have been done too. A stroke increase from 83 to 89 will give 1889cc with a stock bore. Link to comment
ka-datsun
well the price for the engine is $600. the picture is up on craigslist. with the tranny connected to it so you can see the tranny in it. the whole assembly of the engine is on a different forum. Link to comment
datzenmike
Yeah that's a crappy c/l picture and no help. Can't even tell what motor that is. So how did you get it to 1.89L? Link to comment
ggzilla
I haven't heard of any stroked A-series, but it is certainly do-able like any other engine. The stock pistons are 76mm, and the largest safe bore is 80mm but you can hog it out larger if you fit wet liners. •Bore: 76 mm •Stroke A15: 82mm •Stroke A14: 77mm Link to comment
king bee66
600$ with the 5 speed? that is a fair price, id check it out if you were closer Link to comment
ZackTheImpaler
All arguements of displacement aside how'd she drive? I was watching that car on craigslist for awhile, car looked pretty hot. I heard from a few people it was pretty quick Link to comment
ka-datsun
she drove really well. I ran 120 octane threw it for awhile. I was pretty quick, but not to fast. the damn thing literely revs up like a street bike. such a fast throttle respnse. and ill try and post some better pics soon. sorry about the crappy picture Link to comment
Dguy210
Damn, if you were closer I'd buy this. Anyone wanna drive an engine down to Cali  And because I'm bored.... Link to comment
