yello620
How about a thread to show off your BMX bike? :D I have recently re-found an interest in BMX bikes, so i bought this older Diamondback. I am kind of trying to build the bike i didnt get to have when i was a kid. :D Cetainly nothing to special, all original except the front tire. 1996 Diamondback Assault, chrome frame, 21" TT. I need to find a back wheel and a brake system for it. 19 Quote Link to comment

DATSKAOS
Yeah I put them up over there (kaosgt)The museum is the 'rajullio hector de la hondro' Here's a few more  I got back into BMX/Freestyle a couple years ago, currently buiding an '85 Performer and I built two Dyno's for my boys  1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I couldn't imagine rebuilding an old bike like that. That has to be so expensive to source correct era parts. That stuff wasn't cheap in the day. My bike pictured above was not cheap. I would only think one of these Performer's is easily double. Quote Link to comment
DATSKAOS
Yeah, It's a carpet queen. It can be an expensive hobby, took about two years and many bidding wars to finish. I got it new in '87, I built another (the one on the left) to ride with my kids... Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
There is no way I would let my kids even sneeze in the other room of these. A Performer was my first real "street" bike. I was so jazzed when I got it. Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
Here's a new pic of my old school 1981 Redline Proline. We ride quite a bit. Those Performers are killer BTW. 1 Quote Link to comment

Not totally useless. Gotta pinch seat for barspins. Thats why mine is pointed so high, and not slammed. That's an OG Pivital post. Like one of the first 100 ever. Brakeless FTW!! what gears are you using? and how much did you sell it for? Brakes slow you down. So does slamming snakes. 28/10. tried 25/9. Too slow. 23/8 was awesome, just couldn't take my bike apart with it on there. I sold it for not enough. Maybe a 1/4 of it's worth. I wish I hadn't, but it's so hard for me to ride anymore-it became Datto money. This was the best bike I have ever had. It was also the hardest to ride. Hardest to get used to. Relearning manuals/nose man./hang 5's/nosepicks was so hard! Tall BB(11.8) made things tricky. So tech of a bike. Best ever! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
My Diamond Back. I've had this a while now and have broken most every part on it. It now has forged HD cranks, HD axle shafts, 1/2" chain, upgraded bearings to go with the roundy round bit's and it weighs a fucking ton. I can throw it away out of a bad jump or whatever and it just bounces now. I need to ride more :( Quote Link to comment

510kevin
Damn, makes me miss my old hutch. Got it fro my neighbor when I was 7, had the shit ridden out of it for years. I meticulously restored it in 2003. Then it was stolen out of my bedroom of my apartment shortly after. Sorry, didn't have a camera back then. I still get upset thinking about that bike. :( Quote Link to comment

Yeah i kinda gave up, i was riding street for a while but being physically out of shape did not help one bit, plus college and trying to fit a few lacrosse sesh's in durring the week was getting hard to ride down to the local skate park. If i do sell it the money is going into the 521. you should try 28/9 Best ive ever riden. This bike was stolen from me when i was in highschool but the dumb ass brought it back to the school with stikers all over it, when you spend almost all day on your bike you are going to reconize it right away, walked up to him and just took it and rode off X) Quote Link to comment
