Draker
Not sure if for sedan or coupe but FYI. Does note coupe versions are NLA from Nissan. http://www.nzdatsunparts.co.nz/shop/datsun-1200-b110-b120/genuine-datsun-1200-quarter-window-rubber-weathers?gn=Datsun%201200%20B110%20B120&gp=65 Link to comment

datsunfreak
Muscle Car Parts has all the window and door rubbers for our Coupes too. But their website only lists vent window seals for sedan/ute? http://store.allmusclecarparts.com.au/datsun/1200-sedan-ute/datsun-1200-ute-door-1-4-rubbers-pair-quarter-vent.html They do have a coupe trunk seal, and a door seal. Draker
Bought 13 feet and had about 8" left over... If you got to McMaster-Carr and copy and paste those part numbers into the search box it will take you right to it. Personally, rather than redo it it again with a bigger bulb seal, I think I found an end-around to make this one work as is. I found a 7/16" wide, 1/4" thick foam seal with an adhesive back. I'm going to take out just the window, attach that to the back side of the frame, then bolt it back in. Then it should seal up nice and tight... How were you able to buy 13 ft? looks like their website is 10 or 25.. or any length over 25? Link to comment

datsunfreak
Spent the last 2-3 months ignoring this to work on my friend Tim's van, so I think I need to cross at least two things off my list tomorrow... Finally ordered one of these to fill the transmission with fluid... Then hopefully I can finish bleeding the brakes as well. If I can manage that, I can put it back on the ground to finish the rest of the electrics... 2 Link to comment
Duncan
I was skeptical when I bought one of those, but mine works great. Best $10 tool ever. Finally ordered one of these to fill the transmission with fluid... 1 Link to comment
datsunfreak
Yeah... I shouldn't have looked at the dates on this thread... Didn't realize this car was taking so damn long to finish... 1 Link to comment
dimlight65
Y'know, I actually drove this car once... damn near 30 years ago! Ooh! I bet there are posters on here who weren't even born yet! Put THAT in your perspective-pipe and smoke it! Link to comment
datsunfreak
Got a little done today... Took one big bowl of spaghetti... Added this "kill switch" that controls the fan and fuel pump... Routed all that mess of wiring where it was supposed to go, zip tied it neatly, then mounted the fuse box right next to the steering column... Yes, a 1200 only has 6 fuses... And I'm only using 5 of them... So gauges in for hopefully the last time... Also put in the horn button, headlight switch, (dummy) wiper switch, (dummy) cigar lighter, etc... Next step is to apply 12 volts and see what happens... :P 5 Link to comment

Best $10 tool ever. I recently discovered that if you use a longer hose on the inlet to the jug and insert the nozzle (minus any hose) into the trans hole, you can just push up on the part that used to screw into the jug to fill the trans. I think that makes sense. So much easier than fighting with the jug. Link to comment

Dguy210
I'm very lazy and cheap. I just used a very long ass hose and fed it up through the engine compartment, hookup bottle with no pump and it just pours in without pumping or laying on the ground. Wait till it starts dripping on the cardboard under the transmission and I'm done. Super easy. 2 Link to comment
datsuntech
This! I use a piece of clear hose from the hardware store and a 90deg piece of copper plumbing I cut off of some junk and it is super fast and decently clean. I'm very lazy and cheap. datsunfreak
so I'm almost never in a rush. I always am. I am lucky to get 4-5 hours a week to work on the projects, so I try to cram in as much work as I can. Unless it's hot as balls like now, then we slooooooooow down a lot... 1 Link to comment
