Bought 13 feet and had about 8" left over...

If you got to McMaster-Carr and copy and paste those part numbers into the search box it will take you right to it.

Personally, rather than redo it it again with a bigger bulb seal, I think I found an end-around to make this one work as is. I found a 7/16" wide, 1/4" thick foam seal with an adhesive back. I'm going to take out just the window, attach that to the back side of the frame, then bolt it back in. Then it should seal up nice and tight...

How were you able to buy 13 ft? looks like their website is 10 or 25.. or any length over 25?

Spent the last 2-3 months ignoring this to work on my friend Tim's van, so I think I need to cross at least two things off my list tomorrow...

Finally ordered one of these to fill the transmission with fluid...

Then hopefully I can finish bleeding the brakes as well. If I can manage that, I can put it back on the ground to finish the rest of the electrics...

Y'know, I actually drove this car once... damn near 30 years ago!  Ooh!  I bet there are posters on here who weren't even born yet!  Put THAT in your perspective-pipe and smoke it!

Got a little done today...

Took one big bowl of spaghetti...

Added this "kill switch" that controls the fan and fuel pump...

Routed all that mess of wiring where it was supposed to go, zip tied it neatly, then mounted the fuse box right next to the steering column...

Yes, a 1200 only has 6 fuses...

And I'm only using 5 of them...

So gauges in for hopefully the last time...

Also put in the horn button, headlight switch, (dummy) wiper switch, (dummy) cigar lighter, etc...

Next step is to apply 12 volts and see what happens...    :P

I was skeptical when I bought one of those, but mine works great.  Best $10 tool ever.

I recently discovered that if you use a longer hose on the inlet to the jug and insert the nozzle (minus any hose) into the trans hole, you can just push up on the part that used to screw into the jug to fill the trans. I think that makes sense.

So much easier than fighting with the jug.

Last time I used one, this is what I did.

I'm very lazy and cheap.

I just used a very long ass hose and fed it up through the engine compartment, hookup bottle with no pump and it just pours in without pumping or laying on the ground.

Wait till it starts dripping on the cardboard under the transmission and I'm done. Super easy.

This! I use a piece of clear hose from the hardware store and a 90deg piece of copper plumbing I cut off of some junk and it is super fast and decently clean.

You guys obviously have a lot of time on your hands.

No shit, right...   :P

I've tried it that way before. Takes waaaaaaaaaaay too long...

Never seemed to take to long to me, of course I usually measure jobs by number of beers consumed too, so I'm almost never in a rush.
