Alex's red 4 door

Alex dropped his car off a month or so ago to be painted and we just got started on it.

Mostly Victory's doin, she's keeping us busy.

Hood is pretty clean

 

Lots of bondo on some other panels, alot of the doors we will not even b using because of the excessive bondo.

Lucky we have a bunch of 4 door doors, we can use.

Well the quest continues, Vic's been puttin the time in while I have been at work.

Grinding and sanding

Pulled the front glass and melted all the old lead out, one of my least favorite jobs

We are not sand blasting anything on the body so we wire wheel all the rust around the window area. And this one was bad.

This car had been painted at some point in its life most every panel had a nice coat of mud.

James, why do you melt the lead out of the seams and replace it with filler? I have seen you do this on other cars and it has always puzzled me. I would think that the lead would almost be better than body filler.
