Possible Free 4x4 720

I have a 620 longbed project going right now, and budget is tight. I was offered a good deal on this 720 (free) it has the l20b and looks to be rust free except for the battery tray, someone gave it a god awefull paint job, it burns oil but runs. it would be a little over 300 mile round trip to go and haul it home. I am just not sure what i would do with it. right now all i can think of is the seats, the electronic distributor and the barnd new starter would be nice to have, i doubt the 4x4 5 speed tranny would swap to my 620.

AND is Sealik an actual person because how could one person know so much about 720 trucks

I am thinking he was invented by the Canadian goverment in some experiment gone terribly wrongtongue.giftongue.gif

Just merely a consequence of hoarding...another form of OCD.... :w00t:

WTF???

You do realize you have now been 'flagged' by the Canadian Government with that comment????

Get out while you can... :hyper: ....the Mounties are coming!!!

Don't taze me bro!!!

Yeah the tranny will bolt in but is no good on a 2wd 620 because there is no speedo pinion in the 4x4 tailstock... it's in the transfer case. If you have a 4x4 620 project in mind this is perfect for parts or just swap your motor, short cab and long bed onto this long frame. You will need to move the two front bed mounts about 8 inches forward on the frame.

i didnt say i was building a 4x4 620, you guys dont read too well, oh yeah west coast school system.

that truck is at the railraod depot i end up at when i leave town for work,

i will see if the offer still stands, i just want to use it as a prats rig, or maybe fix it and keep it going, its really not as bad as it looks,

Before I posted I reread the post twice and saw no mention of a 4x4 620 but assumed that Lill89ram50 knew something I didn't.

'804x4 parts you could use in your 76620...

Looks like the rad will swap.

Rear axle and everything in it.

EI dizzy

Carb.

The intake/exhaust manifolds and head can be swapped if all done together.

Water pump, oil pump and anything L20B specific except the oil pan.

Alternator (you will have to convert to internal regulator, hardly worth it for 35 amp)

i could care less... I want just the top end...300 bucks for nothin but some wrenchin and packaging it is a steal! Im sure you could pull a head and manifolds, right?

Ive been personally lookin for a good parts truck like that with an L20b and there just aint none out here, people are either still driving theirs and wont let it go or its been turned to scrap!

what kind of condition is the bed in as well?

holy crap! those tail lights are in perfect condition! (i want em!)

I gotta ask, whats stopping you from gettin the truck right now? if it only burns a lil oil then thats no problem at all, especially if you can get it for free. shoot id pay at least 600 for that very truck for the parts alone! wish i lived closer.
