ok im getting my suspension ordered but not sure on spring rates im running coil overs front and rear will have a chevy v6 under the hood engine weighs 425 lbs car will come in at roughly 2500 where are those suspension gurus? plan is to autocross the car

Probably start with 200 lb/in front and back if coil overs all round. Get the ride height sorted, shocks and bump steer spacers in the front and slot the rear control arms in the back so the tires are flat on the track and it's not a camber mobile.  You may want to experiment with sway bars too. Everything affects everything else.

Well, stock engine is about 280 so V6 is 250 extra. With 2 x 200 lb/in springs in the front this will compress the ride height just over 1/2" which because it's adjustable, can be adjusted out. Just imagine an adult riding on the hood while driving. Auto X does not include dips and bumps so bottoming out isn't a worry. I don't think you can design a perfect auto X car on paper. What you need is to recognize what's happening with the suspension when driving it hard and identify what to add or subtract to improve it. Balancing understeer and oversteer so the car is close to neutral on corners.

I'm no guru but I do know it's a complex thing to tune and get right.

got the rear tires mounted for those who wanted to know it really didnt require any stretch just a tiny bit im looking at it as a way to prevent sidewall deflection

as you can see the old strut insert is in the strut on the left the gland nut wont budge any advice? i think i need to try heat next

I just went through this. Goto harbor freight, buy their big ass pipe wrench. It's like $15. Find a vice, and reef on it. Mine was stuck solid and this worked. Heat on the tube can help.
