0.C.
Not a lot of updates, but I rather start a thread now, before I collect dozens of pictures then get to lazy to upload them all. A bit of history on this truck. I daily drove this truck from 2007 to 2009, parked it to go with a KA24DE swap, times got rough, sold the motor and a couple of other projects; but I never let go of my Datsun. My plans are: Fit engine and transmission Engine Wiring Bag the front and 4 link the rear Body drop it Metal work Body Work & Paint Plumbing and rewire the whole truck ??? Here it is how it looked a couple of years back So after 2 years of doing nothing to the truck, here I am again. Found a KA donor, a 1996 Nissan S14 that was involved in a fatal crash. Bought the car for $300, got most of my money back at the scrap yard. Pulled the motor out, checked the compression and came out with 180psi +- I would like to rebuild it but I'm not sure if my budget would allow it One of the tabs on the manifold is cracked, I'm gonna weld it up, as well as the EGR hole. This week, I'm gonna clean up the manifold, hide the wires, and get rid of some vacuum lines etc I'll keep you guys updated. It might take days or weeks, since work is busy Quote Link to comment

0.C.
Here it goes again. I got a new job offer so I have to take my datsun from my current job back to my house, so it will pretty much sit there for a few more months. I wanted to mount the motor and trans before taking it back home. Here's some updates. Test fitting The driver's side motor bracket sits about 3/4 of an inch forward, which makes it sit crooked, so instead of making a new bracket I decided to move the motor mount back. This is how she sits now Quote Link to comment

0.C.
Today was my last day that I could work on my truck at the shop. I start my new job on Monday so I have to bring the Datsun back home. I wanted to mount the tranny so I won't have a bunch of parts laying everywhere in my backyard. So this where the stock S14 tranny sits on the 521 The stock trans mount hits the crossmember. Went to the speed shop to see what tranny mount would work and I ended up picking a mount for a Ford tranny. It fits like it was made for it. You can even use the S14 crossmember if you drill the holes a little bigger That gave me more options on making a bracket and a trans crossmember but I was running out of time. So I made this TEMPORARY bracket in less than 10 minutes. It's pretty ugly but its good enough so I can tow it back to my house. Now we can bury this thread. I will update this next year.
