greengoon
The Utah J-Tin movement is picking up speed. We have set a date of Saturday, August 13th to have a meet and greet at 6:00pm at High Point Park 7800 South 1000 East in Sandy. We have had good response and it looks to be a pretty good turn out. The local, well known tuning house JDM Legends may even bring out a car or two. Not all Datsuns of course but we gotta start somewhere :P More info can be found here. I will be bringing both my nostalgics. Some good oics to follow. Quote Link to comment
sedition88
I'll be there. How you getting both yours down Duane? Quote Link to comment
greengoon
I will have to find a second driver. Worst case scenario I get a ride back home to get the second one. I shouldn't have a problem finding someone to drive one of my cars though :D Quote Link to comment
sedition88
I would do it and have my girl drive mine, but she can't drive a manual...yet Quote Link to comment
73dime
About a year ago or more I was on I-15 near Bountiful, Utah when I saw the RHD celica and Skyline GTR on a long flatbed truck unrestored. Could these be the same two cars in the JDM Legends video? Quote Link to comment
greengoon
I would place good odds on that. Quote Link to comment

blue72
I'd love to be there with either of my cars, but I'll be at a wedding in Idaho that day. :( Quote Link to comment
greengoon
I'd love to be there with either of my cars, but I'll be at a wedding in Idaho that day. :( Crap. You make it up north and end up too far north. I will post pics. Quote Link to comment
dozenhundred
Dang, I want to go, but I have to be at the salt flats that day with the BYU Streamliner. Will there be another meet before the weather gets cold again? Quote Link to comment
greengoon
I did hear that it happens to be speed week. I was hoping it wouldn't effect anybody. I'm sorry. I would love to see your car and I'm sure at least a handful of us would be up to meet again before the snow flies. We will keep in touch. Quote Link to comment
greengoon
We keep adding more nostalgics to the list. This could be a GREAT show. Spreading the word with our "mini meet" at last Saturdays Cars and Coffee.(notice ratsun sticker on roadster ) Quote Link to comment

greengoon
Its coming this Saturday! We will be doing pizza and drinks since there is no BBQ at the park and everyone decided the pizza would be the easiest way to keep the focus on the cars. Everyone is welcome as there is plenty of street parking. The park spots will be reserved for the classics. See you there! More info in the link in the first post. Quote Link to comment
greengoon
Its today and sounds like it will be a good turn out. Stay tuned for oics! Quote Link to comment
BRE510
Hey, I won 1st place at Nisei Week Show... How did your event turn out???? Quote Link to comment
sedition88
It was super badass! The park had about 43 parking spots and we pretty much filled it up. We had about half datsuns and half toyotas. Duane took a bunch of oics Quote Link to comment
greengoon
I was blown away by the turn out! We pretty much owned the park. Beautiful venue and other than a few raindrops from a coming storm, everything was perfect. Everyone wants to do this again soon. We had over 40 nostalgics show up and several cool cars of varying years on the streets outside the park. It was tough to get pictures due to the crowds. Salt Lake represented huge! My only regret was not having time to see the details of every car and talk to everyone. Enough of this lets get to the oics: Quote Link to comment
greengoon
Eric from JDM Legends brought out an amazing Celica and was joined by their previously sold RHD Skyline. And my buddy's '86 Honda Rebel 450 rat-bike in the back of the Hilux. He has it registered for JCCS too. Quote Link to comment

Aclever1
Super fun meet, i wish i didnt' talk so much and took more pictures now but hopefully the next one will be longer so i can do both. There was just too many cars and too many people talk to for that short of time. ..and I love Jason's ratted out roadster. I'll have to talk him into doing fender flares and some wide wheels. I'd do it on mine if the fenders and paint weren't so nice still. Quote Link to comment
greengoon
Excellent blog entry if you haven't seen it already. And what an honor for my truck  http://www.jdmlegends.com/blog/?p=2304 Quote Link to comment
