fourfiveten
OK got everything bolted up. Now the wiring question. GM alt swap says stock red/white to post. Done black wires to the gm plug wire??? my plug is generic with 4 wires plug wire 1( stator (ac) probably the air cond. plug not needed plug wire 2(ignition/lamp (+)) probably don't connect? plug wire 3(ignition(+)) connect black wires here? plug wire4 (sense) and in addition to the stock red/white wire and the stock black wire running to the posts on the hitachi alt. there is also a plug with a stock 16g white/black stripe wire and a stock 16g yellow wire. Where should these connect Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
you look in the How TO section I think its there. i know you short out the old volt reg connector since your going to IR type alt. red/wht short to blk white and yellow shot to white i think the Dime Quarterly has it in the eleltrical secion on thow to short at least this part. The GM extra wires I knwo there were a couple connecter soem are 2 3 maybe even 4 wires Quote Link to comment
