Blocking out fenders and trying to fix someone else's fuck up. "Hey George bondo over the holes so once it is painted, the bondo will pop back out"

Not to say we are the best but WTF

We popped the filler through the holes and welded them from the inside of the fender. Less to grind later.

I forgot we got the 1/4er windows torn apart and sandblasted, ready for paint. Also, because the doors had so many layers of paint we blasted them as well. Once blasted parts get lightly sanded and sealed in epoxy primer. Then painted, cut hand sanding time by 50%.

Here we go, go now

After blasting the driver door we found the latch area was jacked up so we fixed it

So we cut a section out of a 4 door front door

Engine bay is primed and resanded, now it is ready for a sealer and paint. Figured we seal the door jambs at the same time.

Shot some hot rod black on the core support

Painted, also painted the hinges and inner 1/4er panel area

From hammering the wheel well aggressively to roll the lip, I started to see a crack. Took out my niffy grinder, and there it was the lost treasure.

If I had the car to do over I would have stripped the car to bare metal and then got started with body work and rust repair.

I still have to roll the lip on the other wheel well, wish me luck.

The welder I use is a Lincoln 220v mig, it's not a big unit but welds sheet metal very well

Rolled the fender lip, and popped the filler on the rocker molding holes.

At the beginning of this project we were not painting the engine bay. New plans have evolved, and the engine bay needed painted. Since we were painting the engine bay we decided to sand blast all the jambs while sand blasting the engine bay. At same time blast the drip rails. I love blasting drip rails (there a bitch to sand well). Once blasted, we seam sealed and primed it complete.
