Javin
How does it run once it's warmed up? Any white smoke after that? Without sitting in the truck holding the gas down, it will sputter and die. I still need to drain and add fresh gas. My assumption is still water in the gas and that is what I am hoping for. That will likely be this weekend or maybe even a tonight thing. Should change the oil while I am under it I suppose. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
All new fluids might be a good idea. You could add some fuel dryer to the current tank and see if that helps at all. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Run a compression test to see what might be going on. 1 Quote Link to comment
Javin
I spent most of last week looking for my damn 1978 pickup Factory Service Manual. It wasn't until after I found the PDF version on my hard drive that I realized I left it with the mechanics I had working on the truck 6 years ago in California. Whatever, since I have the scanned copy, I can use that for torque specs and learning what all the damn hoses actually do while I troubleshoot the truck. Glad I didnt have to buy another one. Damn things are stupid expensive on ebay. 1 Quote Link to comment
