Pumpkn210
Dana 30 and some fab. Would be cool to keep it dually! Quote Link to comment
HumanoidThe23rd
yeah thats the plan to keep it dually. how much work do you think id have to do? Quote Link to comment
Pumpkn210
Shit mang, like... some? You could use some ready made drivetran out of a small 4x4 pickup unless you wanna keep the L20. Then you would have to figure out what to do about hooking up a transfer case to the Nissan trans. You would probibly mount leaf springs, or if you are tryin to be real fancy, a four link for the front axle. Drivelines and then gearing to make it right... Maby 45.275 cubit of work to completeing project of that magnitude. Actually finding the parts would be the hard part, the work is fairly straight forward! If you are Cereal, let me know, I can help you out with everything from A to backwards R! Good Day! Quote Link to comment
HumanoidThe23rd
well it has a Z24 in it. i was thinking i would get parts from a 4x4 720 and swap them over but i wasnt sure if it would work straight up like that. idk what do you think? Quote Link to comment
Sealik
For that swap.. I would get a whole 4x4 'parts' truck. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Dana 44 from a Wagoneer and some fab. Would be cool to keep it dually! Fixed. :D Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 720 cab chassis isn't the same as a 4x4. The 4x4s have a modified frame. The easiest thing is a 4x4 truck and swap the dual axle into it, not the other way round. Quote Link to comment
HumanoidThe23rd
ok. thank you. thats what i needed to know. Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
your oics are too small! Quote Link to comment
sinner720st
simple swap... cut all front end things out, weld leaf sptings perches on frame in correct location, divorced t-case straight axle out of a toyota to keep six lug.... measure for drivelines.... i would start looking around junkyard for pre 85' toyotas (still straight axle front) and find a small truck with a divorced t-case. After all parts gathered, it would take one very solid crack the whip weekend, assuming you know how to fab, and have proper tools (220 welder, sawzall, tape measure, large hammer) Quote Link to comment
