Big Schlink
Well here it goes, my newest acquisition a 78 KC. Plus a SR20 I got from a buddy. Rear disks, coilover brackets, and A-arms, thanks to Beebani. As well as a custom 4link, 720 spindles and front disks. More to come. This is how I got her. Anyone want to buy some trim? Gotta love free help from friends and family Quote Link to comment

Big Schlink
My friend bought this one from an importer for a 240. He ended up selling the car before doing the swap. Quote Link to comment

Hoosier77
so what are your plans for this thing? what all have you figured out as far as the engine swap? Im about done swapping mine, all i have left is the intercooler and charge pipes Quote Link to comment
Big Schlink
Here is todays carnage, the frame is pretty close to being bare. I got a quote for sandblasting, $120-150, seems reasonable. Quote Link to comment

Im about done swapping mine, all i have left is the intercooler and charge pipes Well my motor is sitting in the engine bay of my other 620 so as soon as the suspension is dialed in I will swap it over to this truck. For the front I am using Beebani's coilover brackets and upper A-arms with 720 spindles and brakes. The rear is getting a triangulated 4 link with coils as well as disk brakes via Beebani's brackets. For the motor I am using the stock radiator with electric fans and an intercooler from an Evo8. The IC will be as low and as far forward as the front crossmember/grill will allow, with the rad hopefully in the stock location. I am relocating the battery to the bed behind the axle along with a fuel cell. I want to shift the weight distribution back so I can hook up the tires if I ever decide to go to the track. Performance wise I will probably upgrade to a ball bearing turbo with bigger injectors and a retune. I am planning on 2.5-3 inch downpipe with matching exhaust. Basically it will be a Black top motor when I'm done with it, I want around 300HP. I started out with performance in mind and have yet to decide how far into the show arena I want to go. Big Schlink
So I got a quote for acid dipping the frame $375, I think I will be sandblasting it. Has anyone coated the inside of the frame rail, if so what did you use? I was talking to the paint instructor at school he said to raise one end of the frame and pour Rustoleum through it. Big Schlink
For anyone that is interested, I've been slowly but surely removing unused parts of my frame. I got a little caught up on chopping my bro's VW, as well as a new to us minibike. 8 inch chop anyone? The passenger side was set in place for the photo. Watch out St. Helens, Oregon.
