GRIMACE

Recommended Posts

i'm so irritated and i'm kinda at a point just to sell everything and become a hermit and what really pisses me off is that i served in iraq 3 times for assholes like him so they can have freedoms to continue to screw others over

Gene,

THANK YOU for your service man. There are PLENTY of us who appreciate your time in & sacrifices you made. This asshole will get his day with Karma.

It REALLY SUCKS that this is happening to you but I hope you find a little solace in having your truck back in your hands & the fact that this nightmare might end here.

Imagine if you had the hassle of trying to fight to get it back? It'd probably make you so frustrated & angry that you'd have to walk away...then this assmunch wins.

Hang in there man...don't give up

If he would not picked it up yesterday it would have been gone.  The owner of the property told him if it was on the property on friday night it would have been locked up and he would not have gotten it back.  Also the so caled body man painter would traded it for some crack.

He was dealing with more than one criminal element.

I kept telling him to get the truck out of there but he kept proscrastinating removing the truck.

At least he got it out.  He did not have a written contract for what was to done to the truck.

I thought he would have learned something from my ordeal with my 520 paint job where I dot back a half sanded truck for $2.000.

well me and charlie went to another paint shop in my area and the painter came and looked at my 521 to give me an estimate, paint will be around $600 if i supplied my paint /clear coat but to finish/redo body work will be $1000 and a additional $200 to prep and paint fiberglass canopy. and will take 1 month and i don't have to pay full amount upfront only $500.

need input on wheels that i might use instead of polished kidney slot mags. i thought these were frontier rims but charlie69 pointed out that they are 96-97 hardbody wheels

here is what i did today for grimace i cleaned 1 of the rims up, lightly sanded then with some fine wet sandpaper i think 1500 grit and painted them metallic dark steel made by rustoleum paint/primer to match the plastic center caps so now i need to finish the other 3 and mount tires on them

well i went to see the other painter today who was near my house who gave me a quote for $1600  in august to see if he had time to finish grimace, but i talked with owner of property and he told me that the painter was behind on rent and was evicted recently, so now the search continues for a decent painter. body man to finish grimace

I cannot find anyone reliable either, that is why I ended up painting the 520 myself, it was good enough for me, and by no stretch of the imagination was it perfect.

But every time I take the cover off it and I get someone knocking on my door, they all want to talk about that truck, I am always getting asked if I want to sell it, I have only been asked once if I want to sell the 521 kingcab.
