Why no paint the B-pillar black to match window frames?

Good question. Trust me freak, I played around with all kinds of variations trying to create the modern stripped down theme I was going for while honoring classic shapes and lines that make it a 510. The window frames and B pillar were originally painted yellow, but I thought it looked too old school, and felt out of balance with the rest of the car. I started playing around with black tape to bring balance back to the force. I tried all black but found it was more of a departure than I wanted. For me, the thin yellow line of the B pilar delineates the window n door, lightens up the profile, and makes the 3 box design elements of the 510 more recognizable. I kept the thin stainless headlight rings bare for the same reason, because against the blacked out grill it's an element that helps identify it as the 510's OG iconic front end.

Taste is subjective, and I've been told I tastes pretty nasty.

We did some freshen up work. Replaced the carbon fiber bumpers with fiber glass, new tail light lenses, finally undercoated the fender wells, straightened the door gaps, and had a black velvet headliner done. Looks like it's all dressed up for prom night with a pocket full of condoms.
