A recent acquire, from the original owner.

Pretty stoked! Had originally wanted this exact car when I was a teenager.

This is my first. Never thought I'd own a 510, but it was too great of an opportunity to pass up. Got fuel to the carb and threw on a new clutch master and she was moving on down the road.

Doesn't take much to keep them going once you get everything working on them. The things that go bad is if you let them sit and do not drive them for a long time is the break and clutch master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders. One thing I do not do is when I park it in the garage is put on the parking brake cause the rear cylinders would spread open and after sitting that way if I did not drive the car for 6 months the rear wheel cylinders would not return enough and you could feel the rear breaks still grabbing or some dragging. There was a while when I was having Seizers and could not drive a car till I was free Seizers for 6 months. They are great and fun cars to drive. I have 3 2 door Sedans and a Goon and a parts Goon an old man gave me for $100 bucks

I've had some others I wish I could have back but with no where to store them there's no sense to let it sit outside an rust away. I got to do some tinkering with my Sedans and hope to put gas in the Goon this Sunday and drive them all. Good luck with your Goon. It's a very nice one.

Got the car in the garage, up on jack stands at rear and pulled the wheel off to start looking at rear brakes.

What bolt size are the two holes to pull the drum off. Somewhere the interwebs said it was  M8x 1.25 ??

Also, the adjuster for the shoes is at the top of the hub on the solid rear axle wagon, yes?

Seems to have lots of clearance and about the right amount of poke.

Yes, that is a 2" lowering block - very old school from many years ago and previous owners.

Mmmmm xr4 center caps.....I only have 3.

They are available new, btw.  A bit pricey, but they look real nice, IMHO.  I don't remember where I bought them exactly, but Google "Colin Project Longchamp" and you should be able to find them.

Not sure of the bolt size but the Sedans also have the adjuster on the top side.
