dan thats awesome your car at the roadster show and very much deserving ... but i have a fucking complaint ... why in the living holy fuck stick is there a jeep at the portland roadster show ...... demo or not ... seems that vehicle is not roadster show worthy and would be cheapening the deserving cars ..... yeah im sure its cool and the guy bought everything that east coast offroad makes for it and had les schwab bolt it on but this is the roadster show!?!?!

i used to travel bi annually to oakland for the roadster show ... most definately never saw some jeeps or what not ...........

Lol i know, i took them out so i could see where it would sit aired out becasue just the weight of the car wont collapse the bag all the way.

That, and i had to put spacers in there to lift it up so we can roll it around. it high centered on the concrete when i tried to roll it out the first time.

There were alot of modern vehicles there, camaro, a semi, chrysler 300, i dont like seeing new cars at roadster shows, but they are from sponsor booths, so they get to put whatever they want, just like me, i was not approved for the show, but my sponsor booth still got me in.

PEI is Canada's Idaho.

Nice 2 door! Where did you find such a great looking example in Canada? More info on it and how you got it.

I actually found it in Yarmouth (Small southern Nova Scotia town) in an older couples barn where it had sat for the better part of 5 years except for the odd trip in town. I picked it up bone stock and rust free and after topping up the fluids drove it 400 miles back home with no hiccups. It's currently waiting on a fully built L16 (A87 head with a ton of work, flat tops, big Isky cam, edelbrock intake, 500cfm Holley carb, etc) That's finishing getting bored out now, a 280z 5 speed, STI R180 diff, and probably a few other things I'm probably forgetting. Pretty excited to get it all finished up!

Twin Weber 40 DCOE

I will have had it 13 years on Friday. It was all back together running for the first time about a month ago.

It's still suffering from something overheating. But it runs around the neighborhood just fine.

It was not easy getting a post-rain picture around here. . .

Did you flush the radiator? If it sat that long...

I had one that sat for many years that was fine around the neighborhood but overheated any time I got on the highway. Ended up being sludge in the radiator.

Thanks Guys

The interior is Sparco stuff for the rotted seats and wheel. Autometer mechanicals. I need to replace the seats as I've gotten too old for climbing in and out of those old Sparco Revs.

The engine compartment is not as clean as the outside. First off, it wasn't painted. You can see where the fire was on the voltage regulator. And a Battery exploded and left ugly splatter all over the hood and area around the tray. The tray has the mounts for an MSD 6AL. It failed, so I went back to the matchbox dizzy. On the other side, those are BBR metal mesh filters on the velocity stacks. Not much clearance between the filter and the master cylinder bleed valve. The intake is a Cannon 825. I got help with the linkage and other stuff from the local exotic car mechanic who took pity on me. He laughs that when the Datsun is there, in a garage of Porsche, Lambo and Ferrari, everyone walks over to check out the 510 in the corner.
