I did the 720 4x4 leaf swap to my 521 today.

Here's what I learned.

The leafs:

The shackles:

For the 521 use the 521 shackles.

The bushings:

I replaced the top shackle bushing with whiteline W73252. http://www.whitelinesuspensionparts.com/w73252

When I bought the leafs it had poly bushings which I thought were correct for the lower shackle bushing.

But I was wrong. The O.D. was right. But the I.D. was waay to small. I think these bushings are for 720 or 620.

So I reused the 521 bushing until I can find a replacement or drill out the poly ones.

Then there's the front eye bushing. The poly bushing that came with the 720 4x4 leafs was also wrong. The O.D. was correct, but the I.D. was too big for the 521 bolt. Or it's missing a sleeve. Anyone know if you can get just sleeves? Or Again I think this bushing is for 720 or 620.

I ended up using the poly bushing for the front eye because the 521 bushing looks like it was pressed in and there was no way I was gonna get that out. Gonna use the poly until i get the ones I ordered. Which I hope are correct and that they come soon. with canby closing in the loose bushing sketches me out.

I ordered Whitline W71055 http://www.whitelinesuspensionparts.com/w71055_rear

Well, not really. The rebuild kits I got were both the wrong size. Gadamit!

So I just cleaned everything and slapped it back together. Truck stops. Not the best but stops. Still leaks. I ordered some wheel cylinders that I should get before we leave for canby.

Just changed the oil. Played with drilled out poly bushings with zero succes.

Drilled out some poly bushings but they did not fit.

510 shocks. In case anyone else was wondering. They're too long.
