little 2 wire plug in the back of the altenator?

Hey guys,

I was driving and my charge light came on. My volt meter was right so I thought something had just jiggled loose. I was looking at my alt and the little 2 wire plug in the back, one of the wires has broken, right at the connector.

Well long story short, right now my meter says 12 in the on position, 14 at idle and running.

Is there anywhere I can get that little connector? like a pigtail or something? I don't even know what it is yet :) I saw it this morning, then came straight to work.

If you're getting 14 volts at idle, that means your alternator is functioning properly. The wire that popped out is just the warning light for your alternator, to let you know when your alternator is failing.

I'll dig around and see if I can find a spare connector. Worst case, you could try to yank the terminal out of the plug and replace it with a flat female terminal. Those are cheap.
