I have a chance to pickup a 1965 NL320 and a regular 320. The NL is complete and runs. No cancer anywhere. Front passenger side fender has been hit but no damage to rest of truck. The 320 has a close to mint body. Engine is out and completely over hauled. Also come with another 1200 engine and 4 speed tranny. Are they worth $1500 for the pair. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated

To me I'll buy em in a Heartbeat, especially the NL cause the bed flows with the rest of the cab. The 320 itself has that nasty looking bed.

I paid $900 for my 64 L320, has rust. Has a damaged Passenger fender, Rotted out Rocker Panels, Engine was blown(completely torn apart)

But then again if you have a Datsun in the New England area thats like owning a Ferrari :) hard to come by.

I beleave they are worth that, the question is are they worth it to you. The NL320s are rare, but it seems they are less rare everyday another one shows up, that one is a early 1965, if it is all there, the tailights and rings, both bumpers, all the trim, and neither door is destroyed, I would buy it. wayno

i paid over $3500 for my NL and it ran. i actually dont remember the price anymore. however, if i was to sell it as it was i probably up it just a bit with what i put into it. but now that i am trying to make it road worthy for 2011, i would probably sell it for $9300...haha, i dunno what i would sell it for, because thats not an option right now...

are the trucks you are going to get the ones on cr.list???..... i'm tellin yah,,,,, arizona is starting to be the new home of 320's... that and washington!

I bought them and am in the process of taking pictures of the NL320. I will post pictures soon. Thanks for all the replies. I guess I got bit by the Datsun bug as the woman and I have his and hers Datsun SPL311 roadsters , hers is a 1966 low windshield car and mine is a 1970 high winshield. I have 4 more 1600s then the 320s. I also have a couple mid 80s trucks and a 1995 hardbody that is purple that I call "Barney"..............

Ahhh, so you were the buyer. You beat me to it. Actually, just wanted the NL320, been wanting one for years. If you *ever* decide to sell it, please let me know. I'm in Phoenix. Also, are you part of Desert Datsuns? I know we have at least one member in the Globe area.

Yes Just brought it home. The owner Bernie is such a nice guy. Went through the wiring, Ignition switch was wired incorrectly. Fired right up. It purrs, really. As for Desert Datsuns how do I join? I am trying to find out what these go for in driving condition up to a real nice show vehicle. I bought a few Datsun 1600 SPL311 Roadsters from a guy named Greg in Surprise AZ (does anyone know him? he runs NICO.com )and saw the beautiful NL320 he had. Never saw one before. My Fiance wanted a 1600 so she bought Gregs and that night she found a 1966 1600 in Scottsdale and guess who ended up with Gregs 1970 1600. I just wanted the parts cars to build one car and one body to shoe horn a small block Chevy. I really like the 320 trucks and the NL version is really something. I used to be into big block GM muscle cars but with the price of gas the little 4 banger cars and trucks are the way to go IMO. Gas is supposed to go over 5 bucks this year. When did you find the NL320? My Fiance is the one who found it and called Bernie. I thought about it all night and I called him in the morning. Email me at dboerst@yahoo.com lets talk!!

I run Desert Datsuns. We actually have a meet this Saturday afternoon at the Scottsdale Pavilions, loop 101 and Indian Bend in Scottsdale. You're more than welcome to attend. We'll start showing up around noon, due to the auctions being in town we want to get there early. I know Greg well, he's part of our club, and was also the guy trying to work with me to get that Nl320. I saw it a few days ago, but didn't have the cash handy. At least it went to a good home, another Datsun fanatic. I will e-mail you and we can chat further.

An E block is an E block as far as I know, Mike bought a 65 E1 engine for my(was his then) 1964 NL320 and it bolted right to the early column shift transmission, I have been told that a J block tranny will bolt to the early E1 blocks, you just have to have the correct transmission adapter plate, they all have an adapter plate, you just have to have the right one. Do you have the 4 spd. column shifter type truck? Or do you have a floor shifter? Is the torn down engine an E1 or a J block? wayno

Intense320,

What did you have to give for the blue one you posted? I am trying to figure out what mine is worth. I know, what some will pay but there should be a ball park figure?
