Not a stock Fuel Gauge. Its a VDO Fuel Gauge. Have it wired up just like the stock one but doesnt seem to give me an accurate reading. When car is empty of Fuel, gauge reads 1/2. When car has full gas tank reading goes over "Full" on Gauge. when car has anything below 3/4 of gas thats when the Fuel Gauge Needle starts to go all over the place.

The only time it doesnt move is when Tank is Completely Full :D

Not making good Ground?

Sender is Busted?

Fuel Gauge is Bad?

Where can I find a New Fuel Sender?

I do beleave that VDO type gauges need there own VDO senders also, I have never had a aftermarket gauge work with a stock sending unit. I have had a 1971 datsun gauge work properly with a 1984 nissan fuel tank though. wayno

True. Getting one of these things safety approved must be expensive. Once a design is perfected why make a new one every year or for every car??? If the senders are the same the gauges must be similar in operation too. My '78 gad an '82 2wd and at least two 4X4 720 tanks in it and they all worked just fine.

Yup. Once you get something working why re-invent or change it every year or model. Same with the oil pressure gauges. The 280zx, 200sx (S110, S12) 720, Maxima and likely the altimas sentras and any dash with an oil pressure gauge use the same sender on the block. All the ones I've seen are the same.

For some reason, using the 70 E/10F makes the fuel cell I had planned out, a lil less than 100$ more.....I wonder why..... 90F/0E is cheaper, but then I guess I'd need to use an op amp or something.....Or just write the bottom leg of E over the F and paint the bottom leg of the E black so that it looks like an F haha.
