The Dat-side
Any one know where to get these or have some? Are the universal? Sold by the length? I've heard some stuff about getting them from Malaysia. Wagdatto had them on his Boso-goon. Also looking for all four windows on a sedan. 2 Quote Link to comment

Pacific coast Datsun
I have those on my 720. A friend bought them new back in the 90's & never opened them. May be hard finding them.dont think theyre made new anymore. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
JC Whitney has them but they're model specific. So if I knew which model fit the 510 I could order them that way. 1 Quote Link to comment
philcas1987
Good luck . I've always wanted a set. What you want is the stainless trim that goes around the window frames aswell 1 Quote Link to comment
fastdadd
the last time i saw them was at gi joes..but they are no more..maybe auto zone or smucks might have some 1 Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Summit racing has some for Nissan cars & trucks. Maybe the Sentra ones are close in size to the 510... http://www.summitracing.com/search/Brand/Auto-Ventshade/Product-Line/Auto-Ventshade-Stainless-Steel-Ventshades/Make/NISSAN/?Ns=Rank|Asc&autoview=SKU Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Found these but for $300 not worth looking into. http://oldskoolparts.blogspot.com/2009/10/datsun-510-sss-1968-window-visor.html Quote Link to comment
jun
I've been wanting a set too, but they are definitely hard to find and usually high priced. PCD's got a good point with retrofitting something that's close in size. I've also seen some in Japan that looked really nice, and it turned out that the owner made them on his own. I will probably go this route, unless someone takes one for the team and orders those Sentra visors to see if they fit! Also, the visors on that brown coupe up there look homemade, just not as well  Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
I'll prob end up making some too. How do they attach? Just wedged in the window track? Quote Link to comment
jun
looks like a wedge fit of some sort. edit: looks like some tape is involved as well. Ventshade Vent Visor -- AUTO VENTSHADE VENT VISORS, STAINLESS STEEL, POLISHED, SET OF 2 -- Extra wide; Made of rugged stainless steel; Features in-channel design; Helps keep out the elements and allows fresh air to enter your vehicle; Reduces heat build-up; Easy no-drill installation using strong automotive grade tape." Pacific coast Datsun
Mine attached using 5 clips per visor. You pull the window rubber out of the channel, insert the clips, then the visors snap onto them, replace rubber & done deal. To take the guesswork out of it somebody could use some cardboard & make a template of a Sentra window frame then compare that to a 510 window frame. Quote Link to comment

The Dat-side
^^What?! 68 510, with the visors I want, and the oof rack, and RHD!? Jealous! Where are the screws? 1 Quote Link to comment
sinner720st
if people would pay like 100$ for a pair, and i had a cardboard template and some dimensions... i could most def make those at our sheet metal shop out of stainless or thin aluminum... if anyone is interested, i will make a set for my 720 then post pics to show you my credibility, one set would take about a week, it would take so long just because i am shop forman and dont get much time (one set would take an hour of total time, just ten to fifteen minutes at a time) .... if a hundred sounds too much or too little or you dont think it can be done, let me know 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
Do they make ones for 720s already? I have 720 and a 510 goon sitting in my driveway. I could get off my ass and go measure and see what the diff is. 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
Goon window and 720 window are the same from what i measured. starting just at the curve to the back of the window. 16 1/4 or close to 1 Quote Link to comment
sinner720st
well i just made a cardboard template for my pickup. so if i get a request or two i will make them, test fit on my truck then meet up with the person who ordered and help install to make sure of the best fit. the only thing is the stainless we have is very high quality (last like 100 years on a building roof) but is not polished, i dont want to polish them because i dont have apropriate tools so i will sell them unpolished... i have not polished the stainless we have at the shop but im sure it will shine up real nice. and i can make it so they wont sag in the middle looking at price of current ones on jcwhitney.... 100$ sound a bit too high, depending on how many time i cut myself... prob like 50-70$$ per set of two (one right, one left).... sinner720st
i made my first prototype, the fitment is pretty good, i could make it better, i made this one in about fifteen minutes. if it was stainless i would take a little more time on it.....enjoy p.s. still dont know how these things generally get fastened on, i can add metal anywhere for a screw, i need an idea for screw placement 2 Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
Skib has one on his 620. Maybe he could chime in. 1 Quote Link to comment
