I know it sounds wierd but you can get interferance from the coil. I put a a condensor on my power side to lessen the noise. A good ground helps, and make sure all your other components have a good ground, like lights, switches, electric fuel pump?, Motor, etc.

Pic of Resistor to positive side.

You can also get noise cause it's lousy brand of Stereo.

My first 2 stereos were some generic names that had a whopping 1000W from the flea market. Lots of noise and made a loud click everytime it's shut off.

Since then, been only getting quality stereo.

Never had any issue since then.

Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Grounding is likely the culprit.

Just my 2 cents

i run 4 gauge power and grounds on my system from the battery to the amp. off the battery have a 75 amp fuse about a foot from your battery, then run that into your cab, to your amp, then run a 4 gauge ground from your amp to a ground (i always ground to my seat mounts) i run my remote wire with my power wire down the drivers side of the vehicle, then my RCA's down the passenger side. let us know what else you find out with it!

Good advice Tyler. Be sure that the ground from the body back to the neg terminal is also 4 ga.also. Many people over look the return, it has to carry the same current as any where else in the circuit.

A digital multimeter will tell you if you are getting full voltage to your amp. At around 10 volts the transistors will pack it in. This will cause pops and groans when other accessories are turned on causing a low voltage (negative spikes) Clean all connections and contact surfaces. Mine had poor contact at the inline fuse holder that only a digital meter could show.
