Hello. I am new to Ratsun and wanted to say hello. I have been into "old" imports for a little while and Datsuns in particular. My wife and I love LandCruisers, our common car interest. Though she doesn't share my love of Datsuns.

She owns a 76 FJ40 (her dream car), an 89 HJ61VX diesel (her daily driver). I own a 96 Nissan parts hauling pickup, 73 620 (the project that my 10 year old and I will work on together) and a 76 710 station wagon (my daily driver). Just sold a 71 510 4door that I put a KA24de into.

I am looking forward to listening in on the topics and sharing common thoughts on these old cars. I live "out in the country" in Manitoba, close to Winnipeg, and the number of "Datsun guys" and Datsuns in general, is slim (although there is a small group of us that meet regularly). So, I get a lot of my Datsun fix online.

This forum looks to be the best I've seen in a while. I have looked through the stuff here and it seems as though the knowledge base is diverse and tremendous.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to another landcruiser owner. I also have a 76 FJ40. Have owned it since about 1993. Funny story about it just today, never had this happen before. I am at work, cruiser is at home in the driveway and someone knocks on the door. Wife answers door, this person askes if the landcruiser is for sale, My wife just laughed out loud at them. However, she also told them that everything is for sale for the right price.

I have no plans to sell though, so it better be a good offer.

Welcome.

Now I'm wondering: If we are all a big family now, who is the notorious Black Sheep, er Black Rat(?) of our family?
