Before I bought it somebody fitted a L20B engine from what source vehicle I don't know. After a blown head gasket and massive head erosion from the gasket failure in remote Australia, I fitted another L20B from a Bluebird, which I believe is circa 1985. My problem now is the latest engine pings when I connect the vaccum advance, without vaccum advance it runs well (fuel consumption 214km on 19 litres of fuel). I does seem to run better on premium unleaded but money is very tight. Can I run this engine on ordinary (Australian) unleaded fuel RON 91? Can I use fuel with alcohol added RON 95?
