Finally made it through 71 pages and almost five years and this thing isn't rolling yet?  All kidding aside, simply amazing dedication and craftsmanship on this build.  Hope to see it finished one day...

Thanks guys.

Been busy. Work and life. No money but I got time.... Decided.the motor should go back in. I might fire off the motor before painting the engine bay. It has to come out again to redo the engine harness anyway.

Mocked up the oil filter mount. Just need to tig weld the base.

Stripped the harness back so I only have the bare essentials. No idle controls or emissions.

Just need to mount the coil, wire and mount the boost solenoid, wire in the map sensor, IAT sensor, and oil pressure gauge. Later on I'll need to wire up the cooling fan also...

Trying to stay busy..

More wiring...

MAP sensor is wired, IAT is wired. Like I said before, this is all mockup. I'll completely redo the harness with new connectors, soldered and wire wrap later. I did go ahead and strip back all the stuff I don't need. Way less wires now...

Gonna get one of these later http://www.gilsonproducts.com.au

Made a mount for the coil and igniter. Also shortened the coil wire. I'm happy with the placement.

Thanks guys.

Planning the battery setup. I have an AGM battery that is going in the glove box. I need a way to disconnect it easily because the AGM's can't have a draw or they die. So I'm going to make a panel in the front of the glove box that has this:

And this to plug in the charger:

I'm hoping the added bonus of the removable key for the battery shut off is it would slow down any potential thief's...

Sundays are car day so I'll get some updated pics tomorrow.

Battery cables ran. Fuel pump wired. Alternator and starter hooked up. Radiator and intercooler back in.

Lots of stuff to do. Need to get the TIG set back up at work so I can weld the IAT/O2 bungs, the oil filter mount and the turbo intake pipes so I can finalize the air filter mount.

Here's some pics....

She's alive. Well has power at least... No smoke when I turned the key on :) Nismotronics ECU is functioning properly and sensors look good. Gotta weld up a few bits, wire up the 02, hook up fuel lines and some odds and ends.

First time she's had any sign of life in over 5 years :) this weekend is my birthday and I'm gonna push to get it ready to fire so I can hear it run as a present to myself ;)

Can't wait. We've been waiting for the first fire up for years, so I can't imagine how excited you are. Please vid that moment. Josh, your build is one of the best ever on Ratsun. A shining example of being inventive, skilled, and sticking with it. You kept plugging away like a marathon and not a sprint and it has been inspirational. I swear you can almost see the finishline!
