looks really good. I am hoping to do a similar park brake on the standard 520 driveline.

Clear powder coat would have looked awesome like Nigel did from Engineered to Slide on his tube frame drift Hilux.
Really shows your welding skills when left raw

Slowly going back together , unbelievable amount of stuff to do , everything takes longer than ya think ......
Was hoping to get the box back on tonight , but its snowing here and to get the box on the truck , it has to go half out side . so not going to happen tonight.

Hi life has been getting in the way , dug out my glass bead cabinet from my shed , it needed a new window and fresh media , so I got some pieces blasted and repainted .
Also made up some steel Brake lines m and got the parking brake bled .

Here is a little trick I came up with a few years ago , it's to clean up small parts like little brackets or bolts , you take a small plastic jar , this one is a peanut butter container , drill a hole to fit the nozzle of the gun and a few holes to let the media out , it seems to work very well .
the next thing is an old shop vac , drill a hole in the lid , put the hose in the lid and a filter on the exhaust side , this helps reduce the dust in the box to see better and helps keep the dust down in the shop , when the weather is better I set it up outside.
Getting ready to put the box back on !!!!!
got the parking brake all working , will install the cable now that I can see how it has to go to clear everything

Great tip for the bead blasting of the small bits, thanks!
Hahahaha RW bring called an ass kisser is awesome. Don't know him personally but he always seemed belligerent, not brown nosey.
You have standards?
I thank the classifieds are fantastic, but clearly not for me. Im chasing a very good quality rear taillight panel 510 badge that came off the US 510's. Will pay whatever they are worth including shipping costs to Aus. PM me pls if you can hook me up.

Love the tip for blasting the small parts. I've been using this for many, many years....works great. But......I think if the open end with the screen was done on a jar with a lid like yours, it would be perfect!!! I'm def going to be getting couple of jars with screw on lids. ....and this is a "before" shot....only one I had that showed the cup nicely.
Sadly, I prove this nearly everyday!!!

Hi been super busy with everything else lately .
Made a cutter to countersink the fasteners for the carbon exhaust tip cover .
I used a piece of tool steel ( parting tool from the lathe ) and a 1/4 inch drill bit , zip cut a slot in it and tacked the blade in.
Also got a new ( new to me ) tool Small milling machine , same brand as the lathe , it's old and needs some TLC , but it works ok for now , need some new cutting bits . should come in handy !!!!
Hope to get some time in on the truck this weekend .................
