Update

Got a little more done tonight , still working on the exhaust and some stuff under the hood.

Always sand the paint off first before you cut it !!! ( prevents wavy thin spots , makes it a little easier to weld later)

DSC03778_zpssqt8zlrr.jpg

This is cut a little smaller than the final piece will be , I can trim it nicely with snips later

DSC03787_zpsownzyacq.jpg

anyway this gives you an idea of what the end result will be , just imagine the carbon cover on it , the cover will go into the hole of the box , should be cool .

DSC03792_zpsjegfakf9.jpg

I will weld an edge on the box side ( going inboard ) to finish the panel

And of course I had to plasma cut the box mount off , and will have to make a custom one to clear the pipe .....

Small update

Zero time for Blue Thunder , just too busy with work ..... totally burnt out .

Glassed the plug and made the mold for the exhaust tip cover , was rushed to get it done .

The plug took a beating , but that's ok , the mold is not bad , I was planning to use the same exhaust tip on the next project , there will be two of them out back in the defuser , so that's why I went to all this effort .

Hi guys

Thanks for all the support , I have zero me time ,I was surprised to see that I was still on the first page of builds here , haven't had the time or energy to get my Ratsun fix !!!! .( was hoping to see some more of Datstang's progress looking forward to seeing it without all the tape and paper )

Going to take tomorrow off , maybe go to the British Car show with a couple of buddies , and weather permitting maybe do a test of the mold with just fiberglass , that way I can continue with the exhaust and the test piece take all the scratching etc while finishing the body work around the exhaust exit , Carbon fiber is just under a $100.00 bucks a yard here .( so no testing the mold with that )

Thanks again guys and as soon as I have an update it will be posted !!!

Cheers

There are lots of guys who have setup their own hosts now. The rest of us have spread out to postimage, flickr, or a couple others.

I use postimage, but they had a problem with their server host a few weeks ago that almost shut them down completely, so I'm not sure how stable they are right now

Yesterday Postimage was having issues, but today it was working fine again.

I just opened that Postimage account 4/5 days ago and the third/fourth day it didn't work properly, it kept showing an error when trying to upload a photo.

Hey Fast as far as pictures there are fixes for Chrome and FireFox but like Wayno said you can see your pictures but noone else can.. I am temporarily using Post Image and after getting aquainted with it I like it.  They have no limits and no pay for use at this time.

I will eventually set up a personal website but that will be after I get back on my feet after having my left knee replaced.

Hi Guys & Galls

I have been working on Blue thunder a bit , I got an offer from Photobucket for $ 100.00 bucks for the year to host my stuff , so instead of switching and learning a new site and all that  I signed up .

But they haven't switched me back on yet  ,If I don't get a response from them tomorrow  , I will burn them to the ground ..........................just saying.

So stay tuned  , I miss this site and all the support to keep me inspired .

The way PhotoBucket did the posted pictures for millions of users was just bad business and I will not pay them a penney.  Who is to say you pay PhotoBucket $100 now and in a week they want another $100.  They have proven to the world that they will fuck you at the drop of a hat.

If you want email your pictures to me and I will post them for you.  Best of all I will not charge you any thing for doing it.

Hi

Been working on inner front fenders , needed a little more clearance at full lock , you know incase it ever gets sideways lol lol  ...

I will have to relocate the battery in the back of the truck somewhere , probably going to use a Miata Battery because they are small , plus I happen to have one .

Cut the inners out to make some room

I added power steering from a D21 so I decided to drop the fluid res into the fender .
